ARIZONA MELLSTORM 12″ X 16″ acrylic on masonite board. 2022. It’s been said that if you want to learn to paint, when you’re first starting out, you want to emulate your heroes. The painters who’s work you love and would like to be able to paint like those artists. One of my favorite painters is Arizona painter Ed Mell. Ed is a very well-known painter and sculptor of Southwestern Art. So I looked through a book filled with Ed’s work and I found two pictures I thought would be a good place to start.
