Some of the longest consistantly occupied cities in North America can be found in New Mexico, the “Land of Enchantment.” One of those cities is Santa Fe, Spanish for “Holy faith”, which is located in Santa Fe County, at the foot of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Founded in 1610 as the capital of Nuevo Mexico. Santa Fe in considered by many to be the cultural capital of the American Southwestern United States. Santa Fe has more cultural attractions than you shake a paintbrush at. There’s the Georgia O’Keefe Gallery at one end of the cultural spectrum with the Meow Wolf Museum at the other end, with museums, studios and galleries galore in between.
