A cobalt and ultramarine Texas sky, created by lifting pigment from an area evolving from wet-on-wet watercolor application, surrounding a single white whispy cloud, which has as the West Texas sky all to itself. IN THE THEATER DOORS…..Here the artist uses lifting some pigment from the wet page, replacing it with pure pigment to give it a warm bright glow. You can see a blue hard edge right above the cloud and then meanders off to the left and blending into the sky. You can also see the wet lifting watercolor technique applied on the theater doors tucked deep back into the shadows. A lonesome cloud in the Lone Star State.
